Kleenstikes Laura Heywood receives the lifetime achievement award at The Recycler Live event in Warsaw.
The award was presented by The Recyclers’ Editor and Publisher, Stefanie Unland who said “Laura has worked tirelessly on promoting and supporting the industry as the Secretary of UKCRA, the UK trade association. It was Laura’s work that gave signposted the way to a landmark vote in the European Parliament to include the use of anti-recycling devices in WEEE and her ongoing lobbying on the more recent revision of WEEE, and she is still actively engaged in lobbying on EPEAT legislation and is tireless in lobbying and promoting the industry at every opportunity.”
Laura started her business Kleenstrike UK Ltd with her husband Don over thirty-four years ago originally refilling dot-matrix printer ribbon cassettes and soon made a move to remanufacturing toner cartridges and provides a full range of printer related services. Today Kleenstrike is one of the leading remanufacturers in the UK.
