Global MPS market to hit $48 billion by 2019

Projected combined growth for the managed print and document services (MPDS) and basic print services (BPS) sectors will enjoy a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.9 percent.

The figures form part of an IDC study of the two markets, which represented addressable markets of $31.2 billion (€28 billion) for MPDS, and $13.8 billion (€12.4 billion) for BPS, in 2014. Holly Muscolino, Research Vice President of IDC’s Document Solutions division, said: “The opportunities for hardcopy manufacturers and their partners continue to remain strong, even in a maturing market.

“The opportunities are available to those vendors that can develop the vision and strategies to continue providing the value-added services desired by these markets.”
