Docucentre S2420OEM releases new “compact and user friendly” devices in Asia Pacific region.

Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific Pte Ltd has announced the launch of the Docucentre S2420/S2220 multi-functional devices (MFDs), which it describes as compact, entry-level machines that are simple to operate, efficient and practical; boasting faxing, printing, copying and scanning capabilities.

For better efficiency, the devices feature a faster processing speed, with printing speeds reaching 24 pages per minute and scanning speeds recorded at 22 pages per minute and a warm up time of 19 seconds. The inclusion of the ID Card Copy feature also allows users to copy and scan both sides of their ID cards, business cards and other similar documents easily.

Colour scanning can be used both through a network and a USB connection at a speed of four pages per minute, with monochrome scanning processed at speeds of 18 pages per minute. Additional options include merging up to four originals into one sheet and an electronic send function, allowing for documents to be quickly and effectively digitised and stored.

A further feature of the devices is a flexible modular system, allowing users to flexibly configure and upgrade modules according to their needs, with features such as the optional automatic document feeder, fax and network components, and the tray module meaning that users only pay for what they use. An auto-switching 100BASE-TX/10BASE-T network interface also helps to maximise performance, allowing multiple PCs to share the devices.

The devices are designed to be user friendly, with a large panel with quick buttons for commonly used copy/scan/fax functions and the Rotate Collate function which provides the option of sorting and assembling printed output into separated and rotated sets for easy dissemination – particularly helpful when printing hand-outs in large quantities.

In terms of environmental impact, the DocuCentre S2420/S2220 have a power consumption of 1.46 kilowatt-hour and comply with the standards of the Energy Star Program. They also allow users to reuse waste toner by providing a waste toner bottle for reuse.
