Epson expands wide-format inkjet range

February 1, 2012

The OEM has released three new WorkForce wide-format printers in the United States.

The Epson WorkForce WF-7520, WF-7510 and WF-7010 are said by Epson to “offer comprehensive wide-format printing and scanning solutions”, with the first and second AIOs and the latter a single function inkjet printer.

Epson adds that the devices are “the world’s fastest single and double-sided print speeds in their class”, featuring the capability to print 15 ISO ppm in black and 8 ISO ppm in colour single-sided. The devices can also print double-sided at speeds of 7.8 ISO ppm in black and 5.2 ISO ppm in colour. The two AIOs offer 13” x 19” printing and an 11” x 17” scanning bed, allowing companies to “maximise efficiency and streamline workflow”.

The AIOs also feature Epson’s mobile printing service, Epson Connect, whilst the single function offers built-in Ethernet networking. The AIOs also feature two 250 sheet paper trays, 70 percent less power consumption than other laser printers, Epson’s DURABrite ink, and a maximum print resolution of 5760 by 1440 dpi. The WorkForce WF-7010 also features two 250 sheet paper trays and the DURABrite ink.

Rodrigo Catalan, Senior Product Manager for Business Inkjets at Epson America, stated: “Epson is excited to expand our business-class product offerings with new wide-format solutions that allow small businesses to deliver top-quality materials but also ensure a speedy and efficient workflow.

“As with all Epson WorkForce printers, the new wide format line delivers unprecedented quality and speed, with the added versatility to accommodate larger documents.”

All three printers will be available from retailers in early February, with the WorkForce WF-7010 available for $199.99 (€152), the WorkForce WF-7510 for $249.99 (€190) and the WorkForce WF-7520 for $299.99 (€228).
