Epson America launches “small-in-one” inkjet MFP

June 26, 2012

The Expression Home XP-400 has been released in the US market to offer “superior performance with exceptional features”.

The device is said by Epson to be a “small-in-one” – a printer that offers multifunctional features whilst still remaining smaller in size. The printer features a 2.5-inch LCD screen, built-in memory card slots, and uses the OEM’s DURABrite Ultra inkjet in its cartridges.

The Expression XP-400 also  features compatibility with Epson’s Connect mobile printing application, as well as Apple’s AirPrint and Google’s Cloud Print services.  Built-in wireless connectivity and the option to print from emails are included as well, with a scanning resolution of 2400 dpi, photo printing, Energy Star accreditation and other features.

The DURABrite inkjet cartridges are individual, and so only need to be replaced when one colour runs out. The cartridges also come in standard and high-capacity sizes, and the printer itself is, according to Epson, “designed to be recycled” after its lifecycle.

Stacey Tiu, Product Manager for Consumer Inkjets at Epson America, stated: “The Expression XP-400 is unique because it delivers powerful performance in a simple, space-saving design that complements any space,

“It delivers high quality printing perfect for everyday projects and provides the convenience of printing from anywhere, whether from tablets or smartphones using EPSON Connect mobile printing technology.”

The Expression Home XP-400 is available now for $99.99 (€79.99) from retail stores and from Epson’s site at www.epsonstore.com.
