The software provider’s product is a “cloud-based” ERP (enterprise resource planning) product that the company claims is a “premier solution for office technology dealers and field service providers”, with version 16.1 allowing for “payment cycle set-up, recurring AP [accounts payable] invoices and more”. ECi added that the financial management system release is the “first of a series of updates that focuses on a concentrated area of the software”.
In turn, the organisation of the software releases “in such way gives ECi the ability to provide more in-depth, high-quality solutions”, with the AP function in particular allowing for “creation and posting of recurring AP invoices, the ability to attach documents to invoices, easy set-up of payment cycles, and the ability to un-apply or re-apply payments”. System administration can also “require internal notes or external remarks for voiding AR/AP transactions”, the company stated.
The new enhancements, according to ECi, “make the AP function more flexible and improve the information tracking associated with invoices”. The software became cloud-based earlier this year, and aftermarket companies using e-automate include TonerCycle/InkCycle, ILG and Supplies Wholesalers.
Laryssa Alexander, President of ECI’s Technology Services Division, commented: “Our dedication to proactively evolving the technology to meet market demands and provide value to our customers has been the key differentiator for e-automate. We work to deliver the enhancements that our dealers need to improve their everyday work experience and streamline processes.”
