Brian Dufour has been chosen to be the company’s new Vice President of Advantage Migrations.
ECi Software Solutions, a provider of industry-specific information technology solutions, yesterday announced the appointment of Brian Dufour as VP of Advantage Migrations. In his new role he will assist users of the legacy and NextGen versions of Advantage® software to prepare migration strategies to ECi’s cloud-based Spruce™ or RockSolid MAX™ business management software for the LBMH industry. It is his task to make sure they have the appropriate information required to make decisions about their technology.
ECi’s cloud-based software, such as Spruce™ and RockSolid MAX™, “allows even the smallest retailers to enter the market”, due to its low start-up costs, a result of requiring no software maintenance and no server. They promise enhanced data protection, due to automatic data backups, offsite data storage and superior firewalls, and are easily scalable to provide users with better flexibility as their businesses take off.
Dufour has decades of experience in the industry to bring to his new role, and has already served as ECi’s VP of Texas Operations, during which he helped oversee the successful move of the Advantage offices from Big Sandy to Lindale.
“Brian’s new role is very important for ECi’s Building & Construction Division,” said John Maiuri, President of the LBM and Hardlines Group, Building & Construction Division. “For our customers whose businesses are growing, we want them to have the technology that suits their specific needs. Brian knows the industry, our user base, and our products and is the best person to develop strategies around helping customers who move from one platform to another.”
“I am honored to have been chosen to take on this new role,” said Dufour. “Our customers are the most important aspect of our company and helping them choose the technology that will help their businesses thrive is my goal. Cloud-based platforms are the best value for LBMH dealerships right now, and I am thrilled to help those who want to move their businesses to this beneficial technology.”
