In a press release, the software company has revealed that it has purchased the JumpTrack Proof Of Delivery (POD) solution from Jump Technologies, with the software a “market-leading POD solution that helps drive savings through improved fleet efficiency and the replacement of paper-based proof-of-delivery systems with electronic signature”.

The software can also “increase customer service through the ability to furnish real-time order information, even from the field”, and ECi believes that the acquisition “furthers” its mission of “promoting the entrepreneurial spirit and profitable growth of small- to medium-sized businesses by empowering them to expand their services”.

Ron Books, President and CEO of ECi, commented: “For the last year, ECi and Jump Technologies have been working together to provide JumpTrack to dealers using our DDMS and Red Falcon solutions. Building on that highly successful launch, we made the decision to acquire JumpTrack so that we can broaden our mobile offerings and push them deeper into the office products industry and beyond.

“JumpTrack is a fantastic product and highly touted by its users because it improves the productivity, profitability and reliability of their delivery services. Our primary goal with JumpTrack is to equip it with the right resources to keep the technology cutting edge so that it evolves along with the business needs of our customers and continues to help them grow and profit.”

John Freund, CEO of Jump Technologies, added: “The team at ECi has partnered with us for the past year, bringing JumpTrack to their current customers. Their great knowledge of the industries they serve, technology leadership and proof-of-delivery expertise will allow them to provide solutions that will meet customer requirements today and in the future.”
