UK-based manufacturer of compatible and remanufactured cartridges DCI/Jet Tec has announced that its toner packaging has been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) in recognition of the sustainable materials used in its production.
The FSC aims to identify well-managed forests as a source of responsibly produced forest products and has issued 1,154 certificates since its establishment in 1990. It currently governs 164,614,297 hectares of forest across 80 countries worldwide.
Alister Constantine, Environmental Manager at DCI/Jet Tec commented: In addition to our inkjet blister packaging cards and recycling charity bags, using FSC certified laser carton material is a clear demonstration of our commitment to sustainable development.”
DCI/Jet Tec also states that it hopes the new FSC certification will prove that buying a remanufactured toner cartridge is not only more cost effective than purchasing an OEM cartridge, but will help to reduce your carbon footprint and the impact on the environment.
