Connett will discuss 2016 in the imaging industry and the decline in “brick-and-mortar” stores.
The REMCON conference programme, which will be chaired again by Lightwords’ Peter Mayhew, is now live on our events website here. Each day will begin with a morning briefing where visitors can “take a few minutes to network and find out” what’s going on and what’s happened at the show, followed by a short introductory discussion by Mayhew before the programme begins. The programme is subject to change, so keep checking back on our events website for the latest.
Connett, Creative Partner at Connett and Unland GbR, will give his first talk, That was the year that was, at 11.40am on Saturday 28 January, and will discuss the biggest developments in the last year for the office imaging industry, as well as how the market will focus on margin and cash profit in future.
His second talk, Replacing bricks and mortar, will be given twice – once on Sunday 29 January at 1pm, and again on Tuesday 31 January at 12.40pm, with this talk looking at how many office supply stores are closing, with this an opportunity for the industry to capture that business.
Connett commented: “2016 has been a spectacular year for the whole office imaging industry and there are changes afoot. Going forward I believe these changes will continue, and that we can expect some to see several disruptive gamechangers. I am pleased to be able to share some of these insights and a few ideas and strategies in my two REMCON presentations at the show.”
A wide range of industry companies are already confirmed for the event – taking place from 28 to 31 January 2017 in Frankfurt, Germany – as exhibitors, with strong interest shown in the event. Previous exhibitors have already received an email containing a personal link to registration as well, and you can register for the event here.
In May, The Recycler reported the entire Paperworld event has seen a record number of exhibitor registrations, and The Recycler reported that over 100 exhibitors have been confirmed for the Remanexpo product group. This year’s event saw over 1,608 exhibitors and 36,773 visitors from over 139 countries. Visitors can now apply for vouchers to get their free visitor tickets, and you can do this by clicking here. Business matchmaking was confirmed for the whole Paperworld event, and is now live – you can find out more about it here.
The Recycler reported on the event in Frankfurt here, here, here and here; and a full report from this year’s Remanexpo can be found in issue 280 of The Recycler.
