On 22 August 2017, targeted at SOHO and office workgroup printing market, Canon released a new generation of PIXMA desktop models. There are two types of printers in the new series printers.
One can install five single ink cartridges and the other one can install six single ink cartridges. For the new generation of PIXMA printers, Canon introduced original PGI-580/CLI-581XXL series inkjet cartridges. Canon added ‘Photo Blue colour’ for the new model that can install six single ink cartridges and the ‘Grey colour’ was discontinued.
Canon added a super large capacity ink cartridge for the new PIXMA printers, which has an increase in ink volume and page yield. The price of the new printers is a bit lower than the previous generation. Ninestar said in its announcement that due to this, “It is expected that the market potential for the new printers will be huge. The consumables demand will be increasing accordingly.”
The company explained: “Ninestar’s inkjet cartridges are equipped with high-end pigment ink and dye ink. Abundant colour performance, sharp text and natural colour transition.”
UPDATE: Ninestar has announced that the cartridges are available now, and offer a “special design” ensuring “page yield equals to OEM.” According to the company, the cartridges also provide “abundant colour performance, sharp text and natural colour transition.”
