MPS Connect reported on the integration of the FollowMe Embedded technology from Ringdale with the “latest Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE device series [of] MFPs”. Ringdale, a “leading provider of secure document output management solutions”, made the announcement that its FollowMe technology will now “provide support” for the new generation of MFPs, which include the OEM’s Multi-Function Embedded Application (MEAP) platform.

The FollowMe Embedded for Canon platform “provides enhanced usability” as well as “secure print job management” for both “office and mobile printing”, and can be “accessed directly from the device’s control panel”. Ringdale added that “for partners working with multiple and MFP brands”, the FollowMe technology “offers the most consistent user experience across any printer make or model”.

Jan Bollmann, Executive Vice President of Ringdale, commented: “With FollowMe’s vendor neutral proposition, our partners can quickly implement the best-of-breed solutions for customer printing environments. Organisations can leverage FollowMe’s vendor agnostic offerings to deliver significant business value in multi-vendor printing environments.

“The FollowMe Embedded client is integrated directly into the native MEAP platform of the Canon capable devices ensuring customers have a seamless experience for device authentication and secure, cost effective office printing.”
