Canon continues with Amazon removals

The OEM requested removals of toner cartridges offered by Mal-ll from Amazon Canada, by AMTONER from Amazon USA and by xianshi yanliangqu canqiubaihuodianshanghang via Amazon Italy, Germany, UK and Spain.
Canon Inc. announced the filing of an infringement report with Amazon.ca seeking the removal of an Amazon.ca listing for certain toner cartridges sold by Mal-ll.
Canon’s infringement report alleged that certain model CE320A, CE321A, CE322A and CE323A toner cartridges sold by Mal-ll via Amazon.ca infringed Canon’s Canadian Patent no. 2,635,791. Canon requested the removal of the corresponding listings for these products, having Amazon Standard Identification Numbers B07TYF9PGT, B07TZK37WZ, B07TYFB1TW, B07V1FB5C3 and B07TZK1Y3C.
At the time of this announcement, the above-identified listings were no longer available on Amazon.ca.
In America, Canon filed an infringement report with Amazon.com seeking the removal of Amazon.com listing for certain toner cartridges sold by AMTONER for use in HP laser beam printers.
Canon’s infringement report alleged that certain model CE410A, CE410X, CE411A, CE412A and CE413A toner cartridges sold by AMTONER via Amazon.com infringed Canon’s U.S. Patent No. 8,588,646. Canon requested that Amazon remove AMTONER’s listing for those products, namely, AMTONER’s listing with Amazon Standard Identification Number (“ASIN”) B07VC6ZJK4.
At the time of this announcement, the above-identified AMTONER listing was no longer available on Amazon.com.
In Europe, Canon filed Report Infringement Forms with Amazon.de, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.it and Amazon.es based on the alleged use of claims 1 and 2 of the German, UK, Italian and Spanish portions of Canon’s European Patent EP 1 977 289 (“EP ‘289”) regarding certain models of toner cartridges offered by xianshi yanliangqu canqiubaihuodianshanghang ASINs (Amazon Standard Identification Numbers).

Afterwards, Amazon took down the respective products.
These products are compatible with the OEM HP cartridge models and provide inter alia a non-OEM housing and a non-OEM force receiving device according to claim 1 of EP ‘289. Furthermore, they comprise an elastic portion according to claim 2 of EP ‘289.
