Canon continues to request Amazon removals

The OEM has reported on its latest requests for removals of certain cartridges offered by some resellers on Amazon in America and Canada.
Canon Inc. announced the filing of an infringement report with Amazon.ca seeking the removal of an Amazon.ca listing for certain toner cartridges sold by GAOPF1.
Canon’s infringement report alleged that certain model CC530A, CC531A, CC532A, CC533A, CF380A, CF381A, CF382A and CF383A toner cartridges sold by GAOPF1 via Amazon.ca infringed Canon’s Canadian Patent no. 2,635,791. Canon requested the removal of the corresponding listings for these products, having Amazon Standard Identification Numbers B07R9KBMWP, B07R8KGCKN, B07R5DPWXX, B07R9MHZ2S, B07R5DRNQQ, B07VSBQBGG, B07VSBR5TV, B07VQ459H6 and B07VR83TSD.
The OEM also announced the filing of an infringement report with Amazon.ca seeking the removal of an Amazon.ca listing for certain toner cartridges sold by PD Supplies.
Canon’s infringement report alleged that certain model CB540A, CB541A, CB542A, CB543A, CF380A, CF381A, CF382A, CF383A, CE410X, CC530A, CC531A, CC532A and CC533A toner cartridges sold by PD Supplies via Amazon.ca infringed Canon’s Canadian Patent no. 2,635,791. Canon requested the removal of the corresponding listings for these products, having Amazon Standard Identification Numbers B00DY6VPI, B01IMLG8TK, B01IMLDOQA, B00GFAV1QG, B00GF5LTKE and B00GF5QMGA.
At the time of this announcement, the above-identified listings were no longer available on Amazon.ca.
Filing an infringement report with Amazon.ca is a service offered by Amazon and does not constitute an official finding of infringement. The decision to take down a product is in the discretion of Amazon and is based on information provided by Canon.
In America, Canon filed an infringement report with Amazon.com seeking the removal of Amazon.com listings for certain toner cartridges sold by AB VOLTS for use in HP laser beam printers.
Canon’s infringement report alleged that certain model CE410X, CE411X, CE412X and CE413X toner cartridges sold by AB VOLTS via Amazon.com infringed Canon’s U.S. Patent No. 8,588,646. Canon requested that Amazon remove AB VOLTS ‘ listings for those products, namely, AB VOLTS’s listings with Amazon Standard Identification Numbers (“ASINs”) B07XYVD2R5 and B07XYS5XQL.
At the time of this announcement, the above-identified AB VOLTS listings were no longer available on Amazon.com.
