The Recycler previously announced that the 2016 Focus on Europe conference will take place on 16 and 17 June at the Holiday Inn Lisbon Continental in Lisbon, Portugal. This year’s event’s topics for talks include: market trends; developments and insights; a systems approach to remanufacturing; sustainability at the core of remanufacturing; maximising the value proposition; component R&D and systems developments; the legal and regulatory environment; and the evolving circular economy.

Our deadlines for papers are as follows:

Paper submission deadline – 30 April 2016

Acceptance notification – 15 May 2016

Final paper deadline – 31 May 2016

Peter Mayhew, Director and Senior Analyst with Lightwords Imaging, will be chairing the event, and early-bird registration, which is available until 11.30pm on 30 April 2016, includes entry, refreshments and the cocktail reception and three-course networking dinner on the evening of 16 June. ETIRA Members should use their discount code, while the early-bird price is €125 ($137). After 30 April, the standard registration goes live, but will cost €195 ($213).

The conference is dedicated to the European remanufacturing industry, with companies and experts from across the continent attending to network, discuss industry trends and talk about the major issues facing remanufacturers in Europe at this time. The event is set to follow the same structure as previous conferences, with an afternoon’s worth of talks and a cocktail evening and dinner on the Thursday, and a half day of seminars on the Friday.
