November 13, 2012 Hundreds of libraries in the Golden State collaborate with All Green Electronics Recycling to collect cartridges among other devices. In a joint effort to encourage Hundreds of libraries in California will participate in the scheme that aims to keep electronic waste from landfill sites, “ensuring safe and responsible recycling or upgrading outdated electronics for reuse” including printer cartridges and mobile phones. All Green Recycling has pledged to donate restored and upgraded computers to participating libraries. All Green Electronics Recycling CEO Arman Sadeghi commented: “Budget cuts are forcing California libraries to reduce their staff and this is putting reading programmes at risk of being discontinued. Recycle for Reading aims to raise awareness about keeping our planet waste-free while supporting literacy in our communities.” Categories :
