The industry veteran passed away on 24 August at his home in California.
Diamond had worked in the imaging industry since 1955, and was President of Diamond Research Corporation, a consulting and chemical engineering firm formed in 1968 to specialise in imaging materials development, manufacturing and marketing. He also been Chairman of The Tiara Group LLC, a tradeshow management firm for the industry, and was an integral part of the first industry tradeshow in Europe in Brussels.
His previous roles in the imaging industry included positions at Kodak, Litton Industries, AM International and Telautograph Corporation, and during his career he was also granted 15 US reprographic patents, as well as authoring handbooks, publications and industry talks. Diamond was also held to have been an expert in dry toner, writing a number of studies, and had been looking at the development of biotoners.
He passed away peacefully at home on 24 August in Ojai, California with his wife Diane at his side, only eight days before his 86th birthday.
