Aftermarket consumables reseller moves to LEED Platinum certification standard facility in California.

Online printer consumables reseller 4inkjets has announced it has relocated to a new 110,000 square foot facility in Long Beach, California as the company endeavours to bolster its environmental agenda.

The new environmentally efficient facility is stated as having been built to LEED Platinum certification standards noted as “to ensure efficient use of water and energy while creating a healthy and comfortable environment”. The facility also utilises reclaimed water, solar panels, and motion-activated lighting.

4inkjets states that its environmental approach correlates with the company’s “focus on providing high-quality compatible ink and toner cartridges using recycled materials […] making conservation of resources a central piece of [its] business model”.

CEO Aaron Leon commented: “Each time a customer chooses to use one of the company’s remanufactured printer ink options, an estimated average of 2-3 oz. of oil is saved” and remarked that each remanufactured ink cartridge not only saves 2.5 lbs. of plastic, but “boasts up to a 76 percent saving compared to original manufacturer prices”.
