The Recycler Awards – 2018

The Recycler Live – Awards recognise and honour the achievements of companies and individuals across the office imaging sector. You nominate the companies and individuals and you vote for the winners.  All the winners will be announced and the awards presented at The Recycler Live – Awards evening on Sunday 28 January in the Hall 6.0 seminar area at 5.30pm. The winner could be a new entrant or a well-established business and size does not matter. What is important is that the business had a successful year – Judging success is a challenge but should include:

  • Innovation – quality products and service solutions
  • Diversification – Creating new products and markets
  • Brand strength – Stronger and growing
  • Relationships – How do they engage, promote and inform
  • Performance – Sales and market growth
  • Responsibility – viable take back and end of life solutions

Supplier of the Year

The winner could be a new entrant or a well-established business and size does not matter. What is important is that the business had a successful year supplying component solutions to the office imaging sector – Judging success is a challenge but should include:

  • Innovation – bringing quality products and service solutions to the market
  • Diversification – Creating new products and markets
  • Brand strength – Stronger and growing
  • Relationships – How do they engage, promote and inform
  • Education – How are they supporting you to move your business forward
  • Performance – Sales and market growth
  • Responsibility – viable take back and end of life solutions

Reseller of the Year

This new award seeks to recognize the growth of the reseller channel in recent years. The winner could be a new entrant or a well-established business and size does not matter. What is important is that the business had a successful year promoting and selling B2B and B2C office imaging solutions – Judging success is a challenge but should include:

  • Reliability – delivery and order accuracy are everything
  • Engagement – 24/7 e-commerce platform
  • Diversification – Creating new products and markets
  • Brand strength – Stronger and growing
  • Relationships – How do they engage, promote and support you
  • Performance – Sales and market growth
  • Responsibility – viable take back and end of life solutions

Collector of the Year

This new award seeks to recognize the contribution the cartridge collection channel brings to the office imaging sector. The winner could be a new entrant or a well-established business and size does not matter. What is important is that the business had a successful year engaging and collecting used office printing consumables from B2B and B2C channels – Judging success is a challenge but should include:

  • Reliability – Can they meet your needs; product range, delivery and accuracy
  • Engagement – 24/7 e-commerce platform
  • Diversification – Developing new markets for your products
  • Brand strength – Stronger and growing
  • Relationships – How do they engage, promote and support you
  • Performance – Sales and market growth
  • Responsibility – viable take back and end of life solutions

Customer Service of the Year

Customer service is at the heart of any business. Get it wrong and you lose business, get it right and you are ahead of your competition. We are looking for any company that delivers new standards in customer service and experience, this award is looking for examples of excellence that have been introduced during the last 12 months that demonstrates your business understands the commercial benefits of a commitment to customer service and providing a great customer experience. It is open to companies operating through any combination of markets and channels.


Marketing Campaign of the Year

This new award seeks to recognize the contribution that effective marketing brings to the office imaging sector. The winner could be a new entrant or a well-established business and size does not matter. What is important is that the business developed a marketing campaign that successfully engages with the target B2B and B2C channels – Judging success is a challenge but should include:

  • Audience – Is the target audience clearly identified
  • Engagement – Online, EDM, Social and print 
  • Creativity – Is it fresh, innovative and original
  • Branding – Does it strengthen the brand
  • Performance – Return on Investment

Rising Star of the Year

The foundations of every industry build on the talented people who work and make the industry what it is today. We want to honour and recognise the talent that is shaping the future of the office imaging industry. Nominees should have been in the industry less than five years and engaged in any role within the industry.  You can nominate a colleague, customer or supplier or yourself. We will contact nominees to ensure they have given their consent and asked for a statement of their achievements.


Innovation of the Year 

This category is open to remanufacturing and supply chain professionals, regardless of their position within your business but must be below director level. Your innovative product or service must have been launched and be available between 1st January 2017 and 31st October 2017. Entrants can enter themselves or can be put forward by their company, but in the case of the latter, the individual must have given their consent to be nominated.

Judging success is a challenge but should include:

  • Value – what is the innovations cost and benefits and economic desirability.
  • Concept – Innovations that not only address a need and solve a problem but also seize an opportunity and create a new market.
  • Delivery – How the message and broader story of the innovation are communicated in clear and compelling ways.

We are looking for interesting examples of how the offering has been delivered and made available to the marketplace and how the value proposition of the offering is being achieved, fulfilled and validated in the marketplace.


Lifetime Achievement Award

The Recycler is looking for nominations for the prestigious life time achievement award. Nominees will be unique and through their leadership and will have made an impact on their business and our industry and will be held in high regard by colleagues and peers. “Life Value – what is the innovations cost and benefits and economic desirability

This special award will be made by the Editor of The Recycler based upon your nomination and in consultation with The Recycler Alumni.
