Middle East printing industry predicted to see growth

Printing and Publishing Group Chairman predicts a five percent growth on the back of technological advancements.

Chairman of the Printing and Publishing Group, has predicted a five percent growth in 2012 for the Middle East’s printing industry, reports MENAFN.
Al Shaikh stated the growth in the region would be prompted by technological advancements in the market and the current contribution of approximately $2.3 billion (€1.7 billion) by the UAE printing industry.
The Dubai International Print Awards (DIPA) registered an increase of more than 54 percent for entries received in 2011, with AL Shaikh commenting that both the PPG and DIPA were determined to improve the standard of quality of the print industry to compete against global standards.
SMEs are encouraged to invest in future-proof printers in order to remain profitable and able to compete in the market.
