Lomond has unveiled two new Memjet-powered printers for release in 2012: the single-function EvoJet Office 2 and the EvoJet Office Pro MFP, which Lomond claim feature updated designs and key improvements.
Referring to the Office 2 as “the second generation” of EvoJet printers, Lomond states that while the device use the same print engine as the first-generation EvoJet, the new model “has a larger manual feed tray, holding up to 20 A4 pages”.
The Office 2 includes standard USB and Ethernet connection, as well as an LCD screen and keypad which will “allow users to set up the printer without connecting it to a computer or a network”.
The Office Pro is described as the “long-awaited 3-in-1 Memjet-powered multifunctional printer” and features a 20ppm automatic document feeder and 1200dpi scanner.
The EvoJet Office 2 will be available in May 2012, with Office Pro is scheduled for availability Q3 2012.
Lomond has also announced CartRegen, stated as “the first OEM-authorised refilling programme”, and will allow end users to refill used EvoJet cartridges from a number of “special service points” and cite potential savings of up to 25 percent of the price of a new ink tank.
CartRegen refill centres are available in Europe, Russia and CIS, Turkey and South Africa, with other countries expected to be announced soon.
