Print Recovery Concepts announced today it has reached accord with licensees in South America and Asia to manufacture SoyPrint laser cartridges and SoyJet inkjet cartridges.
Rick Greenlaw, Vice President of Print Recovery, made the announcement and explained the licensees would identify themselves in the near future.
SoyPrint was reportedly the world’s first soy-derived toner cartridge when it was introduced in December 2008. Greenlaw explained the licenses were granted for the forthcoming, second generation of SoyPrint toner to be produced in the US this year.
He also reported that SoyJet, the world’s first soy-derived inkjet ink, is nearly completed and very promising. According to Greenlaw, Print Recovery will not sell SoyJet finished cartridges in the US as it does with SoyPrint. He said SoyJet ink would be supplied in the US to specific inkjet cartridge makers, yet to be selected. He also reported overseas interest in SoyJet to be much greater than first expected.
Licensees for SoyPrint’s next toner generation for most of Western Europe were announced in January. For more information, www.soyprint.net or rick@soyprint.net
