The première of Remax as part of Paperworld was a complete success: “We are very satisfied with the new synergetic effects made possible by the combination of Paperworld Imaging and Remax here in Frankfurt. Therefore, we are also delighted to have brought Remax to Frankfurt”, said a very pleased David Connett, Publisher of Recycler Trade Magazine
and Joint Venture Partner of the European trade fair for remanufacturing printer accessories, commenting on the course of business. “This was also the first year that we had a total e-marketing strategy” Connett added.

Christian Wernhart, Director of Emstar by Embatex AG, is also a proponent of the synergies between Remax and Imaging. “We are very pleased that Remax has been brought together with Paperworld Imaging here in Frankfurt. Previously, we had to attend the two fairs at different venues. Now, we can meet all customers here at the same time and place. Additionally, Paperworld is a very professional fair; it is unparalleled in terms of size and unique in this form. In other words, it is the ideal platform for us. Our sector is growing and, with it, the customers who visit us.”
More visitors at Paperworld 2010
This year, 45,521 visitors from 142 countries made their way to Paperworld – the leading International Trade Fair for Paper, Office Supplies and Stationery – in Frankfurt, an increase of 3,695 visitors. While the number of German visitors fell from 19,470 in 2009 to 18,422 in 2010, the number of foreign visitors rose by 4,743 in the same period. (2009: 22,356 visitors; 2010: 27,099 visitors). “The decline in the number of German visitors was undoubtedly due to the weather situation with widespread snow and ice. Hence, there were far fewer spontaneous visitors whereas foreign guests tend to book well in advance and necessarily ignore the weather”, says Michael Reichhold, Paperworld Director, explaining the slight decline in numbers from Germany.
The number of exhibitors climbed from 2,029 in 2009 to 2,111 this year, which also meant there were more new products to be seen than the year before. Moreover, the average time spent by visitors to the fair has also risen slightly to two days (2009: 1.9 days).
